I thought this was very interesting and a huge step in making renewable energy more well known and popular.

  1. I think this is a great way to incorporate green energy into our society. Stadiums are energy guzzlers so for the Eagles' stadium to go green is a huge step in paving the path for better energy practices in the athletic community. UT should definitely look into this and make it one of its goals for the future.

  2. Not only are these types of decisions good for publicity but for a long lasting structure such as a stadium, there are often financial payoffs as well given enough time. Not to mention that with the mass amounts of money that a stadium produces they should at least make some sort of effort to improve their community and reduce their footprint.

  3. I'm proud of their dedication and innovative ideas! It's about time that all our buildings, especially those as big as sports stadiums, start to become more environmentally friendly! It's not only good for the earth, but in the long run it's good for their pocket books too! Props to the Eagles!

  4. It is exciting to see a green movement at such large scale. When I first think about a stadium, I think HUGE energy consumption. First of all, each stadium has their own "Jumbo-tron," which consumes an enormous amount of energy. Then there are all the lights. In addition to the PA system, air conditioning, and other smaller factors. It is awesome to see the Eagles investing so much money in turning their stadium green. It sends a message: this is real and it's worth investing in. I think this will send a great message to the public, and set the bar for other stadiums to meet. Slowly but surely the green movement is reaching a large scale.
